Ciryl Gane made his UFC debut on August 10, 2019, at UFC Fight Night: Shevchenko vs. Carmouche 2, defeating Raphael Pessoa with an arm triangle choke in the first round. He continued his impressive run with a heel hook victory against Don'Tale Mayes on October 26, 2019, earning a Performance of the Night bonus.


In subsequent fights, Gane secured a unanimous decision win over Tanner Boser on December 21, 2019, but his scheduled bout against Shamil Abdurakhimov faced multiple cancellations. He later triumphed over Junior dos Santos on December 12, 2020, via technical knockout and won unanimous decisions against Jairzinho Rozenstruik on February 27, 2021, and Alexander Volkov on June 26, 2021.


Gane's career reached a pinnacle when he faced ‘The Beast’ Derrick Lewis for the Interim UFC Heavyweight Championship on August 7, 2021, securing a dominant victory via technical knockout.


However, in a title unification bout against Francis Ngannou on January 22, 2022, Gane lost via unanimous decision, marking his first defeat in professional MMA.
