Cody Brundage is a middleweight professional mixed martial artist currently signed with the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). He had a fascination with athleticism and combat sports right from his high school days. Brundage competed in wrestling at his high school and was acclaimed for his wrestling skills. He has a record of 56 wins and 3 losses as a senior and a career record of 128 wins and 22 losses.

Cody Brundage later picked up mixed martial arts and started pursuing it with the hope of making a professional career out of the combat sports discipline. He started as an amateur in 2017 and competed in 6 bouts, out of which he won 4. Brundage eventually transitioned to professional mixed martial arts in 2019.

In his debut showdown as a professional mixed martial artist, Cody Brundage locked horns with Jesse Walthers at Lights Out Championship 3 on April 27, 2019. He won the fight by sending Walthers into the shadow realm in the first round and picked up a TKO win to start his professional journey. After compiling an impressive record of 5 wins and 0 losses, he got an opportunity to compete in Dana White’s Contender Series 31 for a UFC contract in a bout against William Knight. He couldn’t capitalize on the chance and came up short by losing the fight via a first-round TKO.

Cody Brundage made his debut for the elite mixed martial arts promotion in 2021 at UFC 266 against Nick Maximov as a replacement fighter for Karl Robertson. Knight defeated him by a first-round TKO to spoil Brundage’s party. He later found some footing in the promotion by securing some important victories.
