Debuting in 2005, Cyborg has competed in numerous promotions like Bellator, UFC, Strikeforce, Storm Samurai, Show Fight, etc. For her last MMA fight, Cyborg faced Cat Zingano at Bellator 300 in October 2023, where she successfully defended her women's featherweight title via TKO'ing Zingano in the first round.

However, after leaving Bellator in 2023, Cris Cyborg did not immediately join another MMA promotion. Instead, she extended her professional boxing win streak from two to four. For her last professional boxing outing, Cyborg squared off against Aria Wild on June 15, 2024, at Indigo at The O2 in London, England, U.K. She will be returning inside the cage on October 19, 2024 at PFL Super Fights: Battle of the Giants. Cyborg will be headlining the co-main event of the fight night against Larissa Pacheco for the inaugural PFL women's featherweight superfight championship.
