Gennady Gushianov is Dmitry Bivol’s coach. Gushianov is a former professional boxer since 1976 and his retirement date is unknown. He has been training Bivol since his amateurs as per reports.

He also mentioned that his job is comparatively easier than that of his coach as he just needs to follow the plan of action laid out by Gennady Gushianov. Whereas, Gushianov needs to plan out how his disciple needs to outperform the competitors inside the ring and out.
