“Just go and fight my fight and love every second and have fun and enjoy it. That’s where I’m gonna be victorious no matter how the fight comes out. This one’s for me, so there’s no wrong way this fight can go.”
Cowboy’s recent bout against Diego Sanchez, due on April 28th was pulled off due to Sanchez being released. Alex Morono accepted the fight with Cerrone on short notice and won via first-round TKO. However, he told ESPN this isn’t how he would like to bow out of the sport -
“Absolutely not [my last fight]. No way. I’ll never go out like this, I will, 100 per cent I’ll know [it’s the last fight] and I’ll come in and sh*t hopefully I go in whipping ass right off. There’s no way I’d end like this. I couldn’t let my legacy end like this.
