Song Yadong is a professional mixed martial artist who hails from China. He was born on December 2, 1997, in Hulan District, Harbin, Heilongjiang, China. Yadong competes in the coveted professional mixed martial arts promotion, the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). He trained in martial arts as a child and was duly supported by his mother, who raised him as a single parent.

Song Yadong made his debut in professional mixed martial arts at a young age. In his inaugural showdown, he locked horns with Zhao Wuheng at RUFF 9 on May 18, 2013. The fight ended up as a no-contest after an accidental groin strike. He returned back to the canvas at RUFF 10 on September 24, 2013, against Wulalibieke Bahiebieke. Yadong was able to win the fight by decision and was propelled to a four-fight winning streak before encountering the first professional loss of his career.

Song Yadong squared off against Ji Xian at One FC 24: Dynasty of Champions on December 19, 2014. The two fighters went through the three rounds of the fight and Yadong came up short and lost the bout by unanimous decision. The loss was his first loss as a professional mixed martial artist. Song Yadong made his debut in the Ultimate Fighting Championship at UFC Fight Night: Bisping vs. Gastelum on November 25, 2017, in a featherweight bout against Bharat Khandare. Yadong made quick work of Khandare by clutching him in a guillotine choke and submitting him in the first round.

Song Yadong has since lost two bouts in the leading mixed martial arts promotion and drawn one as a professional competitor. He currently holds a professional record of 21 wins, 7 losses, 1 no-contest, and 1 draw.
