Paul "Bearjew" Craig, a professional MMA middleweight in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), was once teaching personal development in high school for six years. He then began fighting as an amateur and had a record of 8-0, notably stopping all of his opponents in the first round. His professional career began in 2013, and by 2014, he had won a K-1 rules (kickboxing) bout in Germany. Regardless, his debut professional fight was against Brad Conway in mid-2013 at the First Fighting Championship. He defeated Conway in the first round via a triangle choke.

He also fought for the British Association of Mixed Martial Arts (BAMMA) in 2015; at BAMMA 23, he fought Marcin Lazarz for the World Light Heavyweight Championship, which he won due to his triangle choke within the first four minutes. After this, he got his UFC contract in 2016 and debuted against Henrique da Silva, winning via submission and earning his first Performance of the Night out of his eight. He was then in the light heavyweight division (186-205lbs.) and by 2023, he had moved to the middleweight division (171-185 lbs.). With a professional record of 17-8 and one draw, he doesn't have an active winning streak, as he lost his most recent bouts against Brendan Allen and Caio Borralho. Moreover, the 36-year-old fighter is set to face Bo Nickal at UFC 309.
