Roman Kopylov is one of the fastest-rising superstars in the Ultimate Fighting Championship. The 32-year-old fighter has had a stunning career since his professional debut in 2016, where he won the WCSA Middleweight championship via a unanimous decision. Following his championship win, Kopylov competed in multiple promotions like ABC 49, Fight Nights Global, and S-70: Plotforma Cup 2017. He also became the FNG middleweight champion and defended the title once before signing a four-fight contract with UFC.

Roman Kopylov signed the UFC contract with a record of seven wins and three losses as of June 2025. Overall, he currently boasts a record of 14 wins and three losses.

For his last outing, Roman Kopylov faced Chris Curtis at UFC Fight Night: Curtis vs. Kopylov. Kopylov knocked out Curtis in the third round to win the fight.

Roman Kopyliv is a Russian professional fighter. Kopylov was born on May 4, 1991, in Schebzavod, Belovsky District, Kemerovo Oblast, Soviet Union. He is currently fighting out of Novosibirsk in Russia.

Roman Kopylov Losses

Kopylov’s only two losses came from his early fights in the UFC. For his octagon debut in 2019, the 32-year-old fighter faced Karl Roberson and lost the bout via a rear naked choke submission in the final minutes into the third round. Before his next bout, Roman Kopylov had to go through some injuries, and also, a few of the matches fixed had to be canceled due to multiple reasons. And he finally had a chance to fight Alber Duraev in 2021 but lost the bout via a unanimous decision at UFC 267 in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

However, Roman Kopylov bounced back from his two continuous losses with a knockout win against Alessio Di Chirico on September 3, 2022, at UFC Fight Night: Gane vs. Tuivasa in Paris, France. Kopylov's winning run again hit a block when he suffered a loss against Anthony Hernandez at UFC 298.
