Joseph Parker is a prominent professional boxer hailing from New Zealand. He is a competitor in the heavyweight class and has held multiple titles as an active competitor in combat sports. Parker started as an amateur in his home country of New Zealand and had a long career of 66 fights with impressive success. After a stint on the amateur circuit, Parker switched to professional boxing in 2012.

In his professional boxing debut, Parker locked horns with Dean Garmonsway on July 5, 2012. He made quick work of Garmonsway and dispatched him in the second round to pick up a win in his inaugural showdown. He maintained the momentum in his next 23 fights and beat one opponent after the other. Joseph Parker also won the vacant WBO heavyweight title on December 10, 2016, by securing a majority decision victory over Andy Ruiz Jr.He faced his first loss in his professional career when he locked horns with Anthony Joshua with his WBO heavyweight title on the line. Joshua delivered a unanimous decision defeat to Parker and won the WBO heavyweight title. Parker suffered another loss in his next fight when he squared off against Dillian White on July 28, 2010. He lost his third fight against Joe Joyce on September 24, 2023, for the interim heavyweight title. He has since bounced back and registered victories in his last five fights.
