Kade Ruotolo, an accomplished American submission grappler and black-belt Brazilian jiu-jitsu competitor, was born on January 22, 2003, in Maui, Hawaii, and grew up in Huntington Beach, California. Since the age of 3, Kade and his twin brother Tye have been active participants in jiu-jitsu, earning the reputation as "grappling's first child stars." Ruotolo fights under the ONE Championship banner, where he presently holds the title of lightweight submission grappling champion.

His opponent, Tommy Langaker, is a Norwegian submission grappler who achieved the title of 2023 IBJJF no-gi world champion in the 79.5 kg division. At the 2022 World Jiu-Jitsu Championship, he secured a bronze medal in the middleweight category. Langaker is recognized as one of the most captivating BJJ competitors in his generation, particularly during his time in the lower belt divisions.
