Stipe Miocic was born on August 19, 1982, in Euclid, Ohio, and is a former two-time UFC heavyweight champion. The Ohio native is extremely efficient at both striking and wrestling. Miocic's interest in combat sports developed early as he excelled in collegiate wrestling and baseball before discovering MMA. He turned pro in 2010 and joined the UFC way back in 2011, quickly rising through the heavyweight ranks with his heavy hands and high-level grappling.

Miocic clinched the UFC heavyweight title in 2016 via knockout against Fabricio Werdum, beginning an unprecedented run as champion. He has also defended his title against formidable contenders like Junior dos Santos, Alistair Overeem, and Francis Ngannou. The rivalry between Miocic and Daniel "DC" Cormier became one of the best trilogies witnessed in UFC's history. Going into UFC 309, the former two-time heavyweight champion's record sits at 20-4-0 with 75 percent of those wins coming by KO. Outside of the octagon, Miocic works as a firefighter in his hometown. He is currently in camp to face off against Jon "Bones" Jones for the heavyweight strap at UFC 309 on November 16, 2024.
