Vicente Luque was born on November 27, 1991, and is a Brazilian American professional mixed martial arts fighter who currently competes in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) in its welterweight division. As of May 2025, he holds the No. 14 spot in the rankings of the promotion's welterweight division. Luque was born to a Brazilian mother and a Chilean father in Westwood, New Jersey.

Luque was raised trilingually, speaking Portuguese, Spanish, and English fluently. Beginning karate at an early age, Luque eventually trained in various forms of martial arts, beginning karate training at just four. At a tender age of six, Vicente moved from Mexico to Brazil with his mother and continued training in karate until age 10. After trying soccer briefly, he transitioned into Muay Thai and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu as a teenager and eventually into mixed martial arts in 2008. By 2021, he had achieved both black belts in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Luta Livre on the same day.
