The No. 7 ranked light heavyweight contender in the Ultimate Fighting Championship, Khalil Rountree Jr., is one of the most anticipated fighters in the promotion's roster. With more than a decade of expertise in professional MMA, Rountree Jr. maintains a record of 13 wins, six losses, and one no-contest as of June 11, 2025. He has nine wins via knockout including seven first-round finishes.

With his last finish against the former UFC light heavyweight champion, Alex Pereira, at UFC 307, the 34-year-old American fighter suffered a fourth-round TKO loss. Rountree Jr. will be headlining the UFC on ABC: Hill vs. Rountree Jr. at the Baku Crystal Hall, Baku, Azerbaijan., against the former UFC light heavyweight champion, Jamahal Hill.

Before getting into mixed martial arts, Khalil Rountree Jr. had a hard time working on his life. He was into drugs and alcohol and also weighed more than 300 pounds. He was more into making music since his elementary to high school life. However, Rountree Jr. had picked up smoking and drinking habits on the way.

As per Rountree Jr., he had a serious health crisis one night, and that's when he decided to change his track. Moreover, seeing Rampage Jackson tear off a door on the sets of The Ultimate Fighter motivated him to transform.
