Hitesh Sharma is an Indian professional footballer who was born on 25th of December, 1997 in Jalandhar, Punjab. He is an attacking midfielder aged 20. He currently plays for Atletico de kolkata in the Indian Super League. He carries a jersey number 18.
Background
Hitesh trained at the TATA Football Academy in Jamshedpur as a young boy. Before joining this academy, he previously trained at Chandigarh Football Academy. He graduated from the academy in the year 2015.
The graduation was preponed so that the graduates could take part in the respective leagues for the 2015-16 season.
Debut
Hitesh made his debut in the I-League for the team Mumbai FC on 5th of March, 2016. In his debut match, he played against Salgaocar which ended in a draw with 2-2 as the scoreline.
Before making his debut, he was on the bench for a couple of games for the full time and couldn't make it into the playing XI.
Rise
Even at a very young age, Hitesh was known for his accuracy and precision. His unique selling point is his awareness on the field and box to box propensity. Hitesh along with Thoi Singh became the dependable outlets for the team. He is an indispensable part of the Mumbai team.
