Seel Appearance

Seel is a pinniped Pokémon with bluish-white fur and a strong hide. It has a light tan maw and a pair of tusks on its lower jaw, as well as a big red tongue. When it swims, it has round eyes and a black nose that may close with a tiny horn on the top of its head, which it utilizes in conjunction with its tusks to pierce ice floes. It has two flippers on the front of its body and two more at the end of its tail, which resembles a waterspout when the tail is lifted.

Behavior

Seel is a creature who lives on icebergs in the middle of the ocean and its thick hide plus warm fur allows it to swim in temperatures as cold as -40 degrees Fahrenheit. It thrives in these frigid conditions, growing more active as the temperature decreases and tiring quickly in warm water. It prefers to sleep during the day and searches for food under ice sheets in the late afternoon and evening. While it is a graceful swimmer, it is ungainly on land and has difficulty moving.

Strengths and Weaknesses

Since Seel is a Water-type Pokemon with it resistant against Steel, Fire, Water, and Ice-type moves and weak against Grass and Electric types.

Best Moveset

Seel can carve out a niche as the bulkiest Perish trapper, theoretically allowing it to take on a large number of Pokemon, thanks to above-average defenses and access to some unique support abilities like Whirlpool and Perish Song. The disadvantage is that the method is one-dimensional and may be easily manipulated once revealed, resulting in a loss of user momentum.

Whirlpool allows Seel to trap the opposing Pokemon while Perish Song then puts a three-turn counter on both Seel and the foe. The other two moves, Rain Dance and Rest allow Seel to set up rain and return to full health and instantly wake up due to Hydration. Rain Dance can also be used for team support, ensuring Seel isn't dead weight versus hyper offense and VoltTurn teams.
