Appearance

Wimpod has a silver shell like structure on the back with a purple interior and it is based on a silverfish. It has 3 layers of shell on its back and each layer has a brown triangular shape on it. It has yellow eyes with a brown iris and while the top eyelid is silver, the bottom one is purple. It has a tail sticking out from the back in 4 spiky shapes with two antenna-like structures near its eyes in purple.

Behavior

Wimpod is known as a scavenger pokemon and ‘nature’s cleaner’ as it has no ability to hunt and is cowardly to an extreme. It will pick up anything that is seen on the ground and eat it as long as it is edible, even if it is rotten. If anything even dares approach Wimpod, it will immediately cower away and escape. You can notice when you are near a Wimpod’s nest because it will be clean all around. But sometimes this can be an issue because it picks up coins and this alerts Meowths and Murkrows, falling prey to them.

Strengths and Weaknesses

As a dual type Bug and Water Pokemon, Wimpod has no immunities to any moves but is resistant to Fighting, Ground, Steel, Water and Ice type moves. However, it is weak to Flying, Rock and Electric type moves as well.

Best moveset

Wimpod is a Pokemon that can be used to provide a set-up for other Pokemon in your team to benefit from. However, due to wimp out, it might run at the first sight of damage so make sure to maximise the speed stat before going into battle. Spikes can be used to set up the terrain in such a way that if someone else switches in, they will take damage from the spikes. It can be used thrice, so make sure to utilize it to the maximum. Scald has a huge 30% chance of burning the opponent and burning them will not only damage them over time, but also halves their attack. Aqua jet is a final resort move in case you think you are about to faint and want to deal that last bit of damage in. Finally, Rain Dance is an entirely situational move that is a filler and should be used only under the condition that you have a Pokemon in your team that benefits from rain. This move can be incredibly effective because of the ability Wimp Out, where this Pokemon can cast Rain Dance and switch out to the Pokemon that benefits from it without wasting a turn.
