Damian Priest is an American professional wrestler. He was born on September 26, 1982, and his real name is Luis Martínez. Currently working in WWE, he rose to prominence while working under the name Punishment Martinez with Ring of Honor and New Japan Pro-Wrestling. He joined WWE in 2018 on NXT and joined the main roster in 2021. The next year, he was the first member brought into Judgment Day by Edge and has been a member of the faction ever since.
He won the NXT North American Championship during his time there and won the United States Championship soon after joining the main roster. Alongside Finn Balor, he has won the WWE Tag Team Championship twice and won the Men’s Money in the Bank briefcase in 2023. He cashed in the briefcase at WrestleMania XL, becoming only the second wrestler after Seth Rollins to do so at the Grandest Stage of Them All. He walked out of the event as the World Heavyweight Champion and lost it later at SummerSlam.

SummerSlam 2024 - Against Gunther
Damian Priest won the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania XL, and since then has defended the titles against the likes of Jey Uso, Seth Rollins, and Drew McIntyre. Gunther won the WWE King of the Ring 2024 and earned himself a shot at Priest’s title. The two titans are set to collide at WWE SummerSlam 2024, which will be the third time Damian Priest wrestles at SummerSlam and the second time in a singles match. At the event, Finn Balor turned on Priest and cost him the title, marking the first time Priest was pinned at the event.
SummerSlam 2022 - Against The Mysterios
At SummerSlam 2022, Damian Priest and Finn Balor teamed up to take on the team of Rey Mysterio and Dominik Mysterio, whom they had been trying to take into their Judgment Day group. The group was formed by Edge but Balor, Priest and Ripley kicked him out of the faction just a few weeks later. At SummerSlam, the match was equally fought before Edge made his return to WWE for the first time since being kicked out and helped the father-son duo take the victory, marking Priest’s first loss at SummerSlam.
SummerSlam 2021 - Against Sheamus
Damian Priest’s first match at SummerSlam was against Sheamus in 2021, who was then the WWE United States Champion. Their match at the event lasted about fourteen minutes before Damian Priest countered Sheamus’ brogue kick into a Spinning Kick followed by Reckoning. This marked Priest’s first win at SummerSlam and his first title win on the main roster.
