Damian Priest is an American - Puerto Rican professional wrestler. He is best known for working in the promotion he is currently signed to - the WWE. Priest currently performs on the RAW brand and is a member of the Judgment Day. Damian Priest’s real name is Luis Martinez. He was born on September 26, 1982 in New York City. He was raised in Dorado, Puerto Rico. It was in Dorado that he gained an interest in professional wrestling and decided to make a career out of it. His father was a martial artist himself and he trained Martinez in Japanese Goju-ryu karate.

He started his professional wrestling career in 2005 on the independent circuit. After a good 10-year run on the indies, he was signed to Ring of Honor (ROH) where he worked under the ring name Punisher Martinez. It was in ROH that Martinez rose to prominence. Alongside ROH, he also made quite a few appearances on New Japan Pro Wrestling (NJPW). His growing fanfare in America and beyond helped him punch his ticket to the WWE in 2018. Damian Priest worked on WWE’s NXT brand for about three years where he also won the NXT North American Championship. He then went on to the main roster where he was recruited by Edge to become a member of the Judgment Day. On the main roster, Priest has won the World Heavyweight Championship, United States Championship, Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship, and the Money in the Bank briefcase.
