Shreyas Iyer is an Indian batter who represents his national team in all formats of international cricket. He also plays for Mumbai’s Ranji team at the domestic level. In the Indian Premier League, Iyer does captaincy for the Kolkata Knight Riders franchise. In the World Cup 2023, He scored 530 runs at a marvelous average of 66.25. He also became the 1st Asian player to score above 500 while batting at No.4 in any World Cup edition.
On 23 January 2024, in Hyderabad, Iyer won the best International debut award for session 2021-22 in the BCCI Awards 2024.
