Michael Vaughan feels England have a clear advantage playing at home at the Cricket World Cup this year.

England are the top-ranked one-day international team in the world and are being tipped by many to triumph on home turf in 2019, having never previously won the tournament.

Former captain Vaughan certainly believes the host nation will be in the mix, pinpointing the benefits they will experience both on and off the field 100 days out from the competition.

"I think the advantage you have at home is that clearly you know the conditions better than the other teams and, as the tournament is such a long tournament, players will be able to get home," he told Omnisport.

"That's a big thing when you're playing cricket 12 months of the year.

"England are up against some quality teams. They will make the top four, you would feel. They didn't do that [win] in the Champions Trophy, but they need to go one better this time around."

Michael Vaughan was speaking at an event held by ICC Cricket World Cup England & Wales 2019 Official Timekeeper Hublot to celebrate the 100-day countdown.
