Floyd Mayweather Jr. entered the world of professional boxing on October 11, 1996, against Roberto Apodaca in a four-round boxing bout. Mayweather shut Apodaca’s lights off in the second round to win the fight by TKO and kick off his career with a win. He never looked back after his inaugural professional bout and went on a historic run of 50 professional fights, retiring from the sport in 2017 with a great record.

The duo will run it back this time in a rematch of an earlier fight when they took on each other in 2023 but the referee had to stop the fight due to outside interference.
