Rodrigo Nascimento, born on November 26, 1992, is a Brazilian mixed martial artist competing in the UFC Heavyweight division. Raised in Belo Horizonte, Brazil, Nascimento encountered his mentor, Everton Rabelo de Andrade, during a gaming session at a LAN party. Andrade, known for teaching martial arts to youth in the city, extended an invitation to Nascimento to join his team. This led Nascimento to step into Andrade's gym in October 2010, marking the beginning of his MMA journey.

Nascimento began his professional career in 2012, just two months following the passing of his mentor. He amassed an impressive 8–0 record on the regional Brazilian circuit. Throughout these eight bouts, he demonstrated elite skills by finishing all of his opponents.

In July 2019, Nascimento received an invitation to Dana White's Contender Series 22, where he squared off against Michal Martinek. He emerged victorious in the first round, sealing the win with an arm triangle and securing a coveted UFC contract. Transitioning to the Ultimate Fighting Championship, Nascimento clashed with Don'Tale Mayes on May 16, 2020, at UFC on ESPN: Overeem vs. Harris. He secured a victory in the second round with a rear naked choke submission. As of May 2024, Nascimento holds the #15 ranking in the UFC Heavyweight division with a respectable record of 11 wins, 1 loss, and 1 no-contest (11-1-0 (1NC)).
