Patrick Pimblett is an English mixed martial artist who fights in the UFC’s lightweight division. He was born on January 3, 1995, in Liverpool, England. Pimlett began training in MMA at the age of 14 and his professional debut at the age of 17. Prior to joining the UFC, Pimblett fought in various fight promotions Cage Warriors, where he won the featherweight championship in 2016.

Pimblett appeared in the UFC for the first time in 2021. The biggest win of his career came against Tony Ferguson in the promotion at UFC 296 in December 2023, where Pimblett won via a unanimous decision. That said, as of July 2024, he still hasn't taken a bout against any top-15 fighter. Out of the cage, Pimblett is a social media sensation and brand ambassador for Barstool Sports. He has also spoken in the past about mental health following the suicide of a close friend.

Paddy Pimblett Fighting Style

Paddy Pimblett's fighting style is both versatile and aggressive, combining striking and grappling to secure victories. At first, his focus was on Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu as he holds a black belt and excels in executing complex submissions like flying triangles. His knockout power was also demonstrated in his UFC debut where he knocked out Luigi Vendramini with a series of punches, demonstrating his improved striking from dedicated training in boxing and Muay Thai. Pimblett's wrestling, while not as prominent as his grappling, effectively supports his ground game.
