Appearance of Fennekin

Fennekin is a fox-like Pokemon, standing on four legs with a tail. Its color palette is mostly yellow and orange, with a white muzzle and amber eyes. With a black nose and pointy ears, it's easy to see why many would mistake Fennekin for a fox.

Behavior of Fennekin

Known to be a bit hot-headed at times, Fennekin attempts to keep this under control, as they try their best to do a good job for their trainer. Fennekin likes to find sticks and twigs to snack on, giving them energy for adventuring and battling.

Strengths and Weaknesses

Due to Fennekin being a starter, this Pokemon does not have the best when it comes to stats. Though if you commit and level it up, with each evolution Fennekin will only get stronger. Being a Fire-type Fennekin is naturally advantageous over Ice, Grass, Bug, and Steel types. However, a Ground, Rock, or Water attack from your opponent can easily put Fennekin out of the match.

Shiny Fennekin

Shiny Fennekin is a vast difference from the normal colors of Fennekin. Replacing the yellow is a bold orange across Shiny Fennekin’s body. Shiny Fennekin’s eyes are red, as well as the tufts coming out of their ear.

Best Moveset for Fennekin

Fire BlastSolar Beam
PsychicWill-O-Wisp

Mainly focusing on offense, this moveset encourages Fennekin to go all out, doing as much damage as they can in the time they have on the battlefield. Fire Blast has a small chance of burning the opponent’s Pokemon, while Solar Beam is a hard-hitting move that takes two turns to complete, bringing risk and reward to the equation. Unless you are battling in sunlight or have a Power Herb on, in that case, this move will only last for one move. Psychic has a chance to lower an opponent’s special defense while Will-O-Wisp again burns the target.
