In WWE, excitement can only be felt when the fans’ favourite superstars make their way to the ring with the theme song playing in the background. Some of the greatest entrance themes according to me are:

10. Chris Jericho: The first ever undisputed WWF champion has one of the best entrance themes in WWE in my opinion. His entrance theme makes the arena come alive.

9. John Cena: One of the most popular wrestlers in the history of WWE, Cena has a great entrance theme. Here’s his theme “My Time is Now”:

8. Bret “The Hitman” Hart: Bret Hart has a legendary entrance theme in WWE. He was a fan favourite and his theme fits his personality. That’s why we say, “The Best there is, The Best there was, and The Best will ever be”.
 

7. Triple H: Whenever a guitar riffs, the crowd in the arena and people watching at home know that “The King of Kings” is making his entrance to the ring. Enjoy his rock and roll theme here:
 

6. Shawn Michaels: HBK has used the same theme “Sexy Boy” since the beginning and I bet he will use it till he is in pro -wrestling. He is the most respected WWE wrestler and it is impossible to forget this theme. Enjoy it here:
 

5. CM Punk: Punk’s current theme “Cult of Personality” is better than his previous theme song. It fits him perfectly. I can still hear positive chants from the crowd when this hits:
 

4. The Rock: The Great One possesses the best electric theme in sports entertainment. Enjoy his electrifying entrance theme in following video:
 

3. The Undertaker: There are a few theme songs that a wrestler would never want to hear when he is in the ring. One of them is the Undertaker’s. When the bell sounds and a man in a black outfit starts walking towards the ring slowly, you know it’s The Dead Man.
 

2. Stone Cold: A glass shatters and Stone Cold arrives to the arena. Everyone is on their feet, chanting for Stone Cold. That’s the greatest thing I’ve ever seen in WWE. He is more popular than any other superstar in the industry. And that’s the Bottom Line because Stone Cold said so…Watch his entrance right here:
 

1. Hulk Hogan: This list is incomplete without this Real American. I think his theme is the most memorable theme I’ve ever heard.
 

WWE is not only a place to wrestle but also a place for entertainment. Not only wrestlers but some actors also have tried to use their hands inside the ring. Remember Arnold , Chuck Norris, Snoop Dogg ? Here are a few actors who came to WWE as guests:

Hugh Jackman

Wolverine visited Monday night RAW, on 20 September 2011, with Zack Ryder and he punched Dolph Ziggler, who was competing against Ryder. Rumor says he broke Ziggler’s jaw with that Hugh punch. Take a look.

The A-Team

Members of The A-Team movie – Sharlto Copley, Rampage Jackson and Bradley Cooper – hosted WWE RAW in June. That was a viewers choice night and what happened there is in following video.

Chuck Norris

Anyone wants to know who is Chuck Norris? I don’t think so. We have heard a lot about him! When he went Live on Raw and into the ring with Goldberg, this is what happened there.

Pitbull

The occasion was The Rock‘s birthday and this Spanish Rapper sang a song for him. Here is the clip.

Snoop Dogg

Another singer appeared on RAW but he didn’t sing a song. He was inside the ring with Chavo Gurrerro and Spear by Snop Dogg. Take a look.

Arnold Schwarzenegger 

This former professional bodybuilder was live on RAW outside the ring at commentary but not for much longer. Here is a clip that shows what happened when HHH tried to hit this Muscle-Man.

Mike Tyson

Mike Tyson made a surprise return to the ring in 2010. He was teaming up with Y2J and facing against DX, but at the end, a knockout punch finished off his own tag team partner. Watch this.

Besides these, a lot of other celebrities made their appearance on WWE. Some actors came to promote their movie or song  and some only for entertainment. For example, just the night after Royal Rumble 2013, we saw Andre Agassi and Steffi Graf, though it wasn’t for any promotion.

From Wrestlemania 1 to Wrestlemania 28, at least one celebrity has been there, whether it was Muhammad Ali as a guest referee for the main event at Wrestlemania 1 or Flo Rida at Wrestlemania 28.

Sachin Tendulkar:
I don’t think this man needs an introduction. Tendulkar is one of the best cricketers in the history of the game and he wears the No.10 jersey. He holds several records that can’t be broken. Take a look…

Shahid Afridi:
Well known for his aggressive bating style, “Boom Boom Afridi”, holds the record of hitting most number of sixes in ODI history. He has also scored 3 of the 7 fastest centuries in ODI history. The Pakistani also wears the No.10.

Walt “Clyde” Frazier:
36 points, 19 assists, 7 rebounds, 5 steals… that’s what Clyde did in the deciding Game 7 of the 1970 NBA Finals. Known for picking his opponents pockets with his quick hand, he too wore the #10 jersey, which was retired by New York Knicks on Dec 15, 1979.

DeSean Jackson:
He is probably the most electric player in NFL. Every time he gets the ball, it seems like he’s going to score. In 2009 he had 8 TDs over 50 yards. Here’s a look at his Career highlights.

Pele and Maradona:
The Brazilian Pele is the only player ever to win 3 World Cups while Maradona with one, was known for his amazing dribbling skills. Always debated on who the greatest was, there is only thing common was that they shared the same jersey number. It’s foolish to compare them but have a look at this video.

Messi :
Lionel Messi recently broke the 40-year-old record of most goals in a calender year and is certainly best player of this era. The following video shows off some of his amazing skills.

Besides these men there are others like Rooney, Ronaldinho, Platini and some others from other sports too who are great in their own right and own the No.10 jersey. I have no idea if it’s a belief or a superstition but I really hope we can witness more from people with the #10.

But news came out recently, clearing all the rumors, that The Undertaker was currently training for his return and that he will compete with someone at WrestleMania.

That’s good news for all wrestling fans because, without him, WrestleMania is nothing. But the question still remains – who will be his next victim? The Undertaker doesn’t want to wrestle HHH or Ryback but he is interested in CM Punk.

A possible “STREAK vs RESPECT” match can be scheduled for this year’s WrestleMania. So will it be 21-0 or will CM Punk earn respect by defeating the Dead Man? Punk will do everything to end the career of this legend but many wrestlers have tried and failed. CM Punk could be the Undertaker’s next victim.

Let’s see what happens. This edition of WrestleMania will be more historic than the previous one, so don’t miss it!

Whenever it comes to the greatest streaks, Only one name hits our mind: The Undertaker. 20-0 at WrestleMania is remarkable. We perhaps had the best match of this era at WrestleMania 25, “The Undertaker vs Shawn Michaels”. But is that it? Does The Undertaker hold the record for the best streak? Take a look at some of the greatest reigns of wrestling and you will find out which ones are really great.

Andre the Giant :

7 ft 4 and nearly 600 lbs, he holds the record of being undefeated for close to 15 years. It is no wonder that such a giant of a man remained undefeated. It took the immortal Hulk-Hogan to end this streak at WrestleMania 3 in a classic Championship Match. Take a look at some of the most dominant moves of the giant.

Fabulous Moolah :
She was undoubtedly the best female wrestler for several decades. She was WWE Women’s Champion for 10,170 days (about 28 years). Even after a few defeats, she still had some reigns of  527, 2862,947, 2113 and 3651 days. She was an inspiration for many women wrestlers. Here is a tribute video on her.

Hulk Hogan :

Hogan was the face of the wrestling company in his era. He was champion for 1474 days and his streak was ended by Andre the Giant. It seems to be funny that Hulk ended Andre’s reign and Andre ended Hogan’s.

Bill Goldberg :

It was 173-0 when Kevin Nash defeated him to break his straight wins. Bill didn’t lose any match for nearly 3 years. Goldberg was one of the most dominant wrestlers in WWE. We saw his dominance when he speared the Rock on his debut.

Bruno Sammartino :

He defeated Buddy Rogers in 1963 to win the World Championship and from that day, no one was able to defeat this Italian for about 2803 days. After that defeat, he got his belt back after 2 years and then he kept it again for 4 years. Sammartino was the first megastar of WWE. Here are some of the moves of this superman.

The Undertaker :

No need to say a single word about The Phenom. Everyone knows that The Dead Man is undefeated at WrestleMania. 20-0 at WrestleMania is quite an achievement. He is surely one of the greatest wrestlers of all time. I hope we will see him at this year’s WrestleMania too. Here’s a video of all his WrestleMania victims

I left some other great streaks like Bob Backlund (about 2135 days ), Honkey Tonk Man (454 days as Intercontinental Champion), Demolition (478 days as Tag Team Champion), Batista (282 days as Heavyweight Champion) etc. John Cena was WWE Champion for 380 days and now CM Punk is on his way to glory, but they still have a long way to go. Records are made to be broken but some of them are very difficult. The above listed reigns are hard to achieve and I guess no one can break those records.

The Rock and CM Punk were involved in a Twitter fight earlier. CM Punk who emerged victorious in the match against Ryback and Cena tweeted to The Rock :

What a conversation between Punk and Rock! Punk is full of confidence after beating Cena and Ryback, no matter how he won. On the other hand The Rock is always confident. Let’s see what happens next but one thing is for sure, if Punk remains Champion till Royal Rumble,  the fight between The Rock and Punk will be electrifying.

Neither was it a special PPV, nor was it WrestleMania. It was WWF Raw, 21st May 2001 when one of the greatest matches for the Tag Team Championship took place.

History:

Austin and Triple H formed a team named as “The Two-Man Power Trip” and after defeating “The Brothers of Destruction” at Backlash, won WWF Tag Team Championship.  Triple H and Stone Cold were also champions individually. Austin was WWF Champion and Triple H was WWF Intercontinental Champion. But at Judgement Day Triple H lost his title to Kane, and the following night Triple H and Stone Cold were defending their title against Chris Jericho and Chris Benoit. Jericho and Benoit were on top, and undoubtedly were a good tag team.

“Raw is War”, that was the name used to define the current WWE Raw in those days, and that match defines why. That match was surely a war. What happened in the match? Find out here…

Back in 2001, Team WWE vs Team Alliance was scheduled to take place. In another way, we can say that it was Shane McMahon vs Vince McMahon. That was a Five on Five tag team match. “Winner takes all”, that was the deal. The Rock and Jericho were rivals but they were in the same team. Similarly, Steve Austin and Kurt Angle were rivals but in the same team.

That was the one of the greatest matches in WWE history. It had a lot of ups and downs. Who won? Who took ownership of WWF? Find out in the following video…

 Howe:  “You make me proud to be a fan, every year that you keep going to WrestleMania. I’ll keep going to WrestleMania.”

Undertaker:  “Yeah, well don’t make any plans for April”

Howe:  “What? No! Please, you have to be there..!!!”

Undertaker:  “(laughs) We’ll see what happens.”

I’m not sure what that means. Is he retiring ? A 22-year-long  career is quite an achievement. We saw him on the 1000th episode of RAW  where the two brothers destroyed the other wrestlers. After their match at WrestleMania  27, Triple H said to Undertaker, “you won the match, I won the war”. The Undertaker wasn’t able to stand on his feet and after their match at WrestleMania 28 , I thought the Undertaker wouldn’t be able to continue. WWE is losing its best wrestlers; first Batista , HBK, Jericho, Triple H and now, The Undertaker?

WWE had some good and some bad moments. The deaths of a few famous wrestlers at a young age were a few of the bad moments. Have a look at some of the wrestlers who died at an early age:

Chris Benoit (May 21, 1967–June 24, 2007)

Chris Benoit and his family (wife and son) were found dead in their home in 2007.  He suicided and cause of death was reported to be hanging. Many say it was because of relationship problems with his wife.

A match involving him was scheduled for the ECW World championship at Vengeance just before the day he died. Watch a Tribute Video of Chris Benoit:

Yokozuna (October 2, 1966 – October 23, 2000)

One of the heaviest wrestlers of all time, Yokozuna died in 2000 because of some fluid in his lungs that caused a heart failure. He won the WWE Championship at Wrestlemania IX  after beating Bret Hart.

Eddie Guerrero (October 9, 1967 – November 13, 2005)

The Latino Heat died because of a drug overdose. Eddie was very famous among WWE fans.

Andre the Giant (May 19, 1946 – January 27, 1993)

The 7’4″(2.24m) tall former WWE Champion died of a  heart failure. He had a great match against Hulk Hogan at Wrestlemania. Watch a tribute for Andre:

Owen Hart (May 7, 1965 – May 23, 1999)

He died after falling 50 feet from the ceiling to ring at ‘Over The Edge’. In his era, Raw was known as “RAW IS WAR”. After his death, the show was named RAW IS OWEN.

‘Macho Man’  (November 15, 1952 – May 20, 2011)

This member of the NWO died in a car crash. He had a massive heart attack when he was driving. He was the greatest loss to the WWE in 2011.

Umaga (March 28, 1973 – December 4, 2009)

As reported Umaga died because of a heart attack.That was his second heart attack that day. The reasons for the heart attacks were said to be a mixture of painkillers, tranquilizers & muscle relaxant. Watch a match of his against John Cena:

Most popular wrestler of the modern era- and with quite a few popular returns to action as well.

Jeff and Matt Hardy joined WWE in 1998. They won Tag Team Championship several times and were one of the most successful Tag Team in WWE history.

While alone, Jeff was more popular than Matt Hardy and this popularity of his took him to the new heights. At Armageddon, Jeff defeated not one but two wrestlers – Triple H and Edge, to win the WWE Championship.

He was very popular among WWE fans. After losing to CM Punk, he left WWE saying he would be back. He then went to TNA and is at a good position.

But guess what? Jeff Hardy’s TNA Contract expires in the end of this year or at the beginning of next year. So could it be a ‘Return and Shine’ time for Jeff? I think CM Punk will lose his championship soon as his popularity is slowly decreasing. So this is just the perfect time for Jeff to return. Let’s see what will happen. Let’s see who returns. Whether it will be Jeff or Batista or even both, only time will tell.

Empty Arena Match

An Empty Arena match is a hardcore match between two or more wrestlers which takes place in an arena without fans. The only people present are the competitors, referee, and cameramen. One such match was  The Rock vs Mankind. These matches were very rare and occurred in the WWF era.

First Blood Match

The first person to bleed loses. The first First blood match to take place in the WWE was for the WWE Championship and occurred between Steve Austin and Kane at the King of the Ring PPV. In the end, Austin’s face became bloodied and the title went to Kane.

Inferno Match

These kind of matches are very dangerous as the ring is completely surrounded by fire.

The first Inferno Match was between Kane and The Undertaker at the 1998 Unforgiven. In the match, Kane was thrown out of the ring and The Undertaker had no way of attacking him. Undertaker emerged victorious in the end. Kane vs HHH, Kane vs MVP are some other memorable matches of this type.

Punjabi Prison Match

The Punjabi Prison match consists of two large bamboo cages. History says The Great Khali invented these kind of matches. Take a look at the following match:

Buried Alive Match

A Buried Alive match is a no-holds-barred match in which the objective is for one wrestler to throw his opponent into a grave dug out of a large mound of dirt placed outside the ring. At Survivor Series 2003 and Bragging Rights 2010, a bulldozer was also made available to completely bury the opponent. There have only been five buried alive matches in the history of WWE and all have involved The Undertaker. Remember The Undertaker vs Vince McMahon?

Casket Match

The Casket Match (formerly known as the Coffin match) has a casket near the ring, with the objective of the match being to trap the opposing wrestler in it. The Undertaker is a well-known master of Casket Matches. Undertaker vs The Rock, Undertaker vs Big Show, Undertaker vs Mark Henry, Undertaker vs Kane: any guesses on who won?

Besides these, there are a lot of other lost varieties: Flag Match, Strip Matches, A Barbed Wire Rope Match, Parking Lot Brawl, TLC Matches (remember Jeff Hardy?), and if I’m not wrong we haven’t seen the Stretcher Match for a long time too.

Brock Lesnar vs. John Cena:

Brock Lesnar emerged victorious in this match. A few weeks before the match, Lesnar had almost ended Cena’s career with a dangerous F-5 towards the ring post.

Brock Lesnar vs. Eddie Guerrero :

Goldberg interfered in this WWE Championship match by spearing Lesnar. Eddie won the match in the end.

Brock Lesnar vs. Bill Goldberg :

Goldberg won the match after performing a Jackhammer. That night was bad for Brock as he got a Stunner from Stone Cold Steave Austin.

Brock vs. Hulk Hogan:

A great Smackdown match, one for the ages. The winner of the match would go on to face the Rock at SummerSlam. Hogan passed on the torch to Lesnar who won in the end.

Brock Lesnar vs The Rock Summer Slam 2002 :

An awesome match for Brock as well as for The Rock. Brock beat The Rock and won the WWE Undisputed Champion. What a match that was!

Brock vs Big Show :

Brock beat the hell out of Big Show twice! I guess no one can forget the moment when Brock did a suplex from the top rope and the ring collapsed. And of course, the stretcher match where Brock beat Big Show after performing a suplex and then an F5. Both matches were great.

Brock vs Kurt Angle :

The WWE Title was on the line. Kurt Angle was the champion and match was at the grandest stage of them all, Wrestlemania. A great match with a great ending. Brock became the new WWE Champion after beating Angle with an F5.

Besides these matches there were some other matches those were legendary like Hell in a Cell match with The Undertaker, Brock vs Rikishi, Brock vs Mark Henry, Brock vs Kane, Brock vs The Hardys, etc.

After the stretcher match between Lesnar and Big Show, Brock Lesnar came to be known as a man with superhuman strength.

Recently we saw some of his brute strength when he returned on RAW attacking John Cena and later in the match with Triple H. Words cannot simply explain hwo good Lesnar is. I am out of words. So that’s it for this time. Enjoy the video containing the highlights of Brock Lesnar’s feats in the WWE!
