Darvish doesn't want to be a bad Dodgers teammate
Yu Darvish said he does not want to disrupt the flow of the Los Angeles Dodgers after he was traded from the Texas Rangers.
Yu Darvish suited up for his first game as a member of the Los Angeles Dodgers Wednesday when the team visited Atlanta to play the Braves, and he had nerves about being the new guy.
Darvish was traded to Los Angeles from the Texas Rangers before the MLB trade deadline in return for three prospects on Monday.
Speaking through an interpreter, Darvish said he does not want to be taken as the arrogant player who does "whatever you want to do and you're a bad teammate."
Darvish — who will make his Dodgers debut on the mound against the New York Mets on Friday — elaborated, saying, "I don't want to be that guy."
However, it seems that Darvish's Dodgers teammates have made him feel at home.
