The Connecticut Sun drafted Aneesah Morrow as the seventh pick in the 2025 WNBA draft. Morrow played her last two years of collegiate basketball as a forward for the LSU Tigers in the South Eastern Conference. Morrow was a 2024 All-American Honorable Mention and First Team All-SEC selection. In the 2023-24 season, she played all 37 games, starting 34, and averaged 16.4 points and 10.0 rebounds. She recorded 22 double-doubles, ranking No. 5 in the country.
She won National Player of the Week honors after scoring 32.5 points and grabbing 15.5 rebounds per game at the Cayman Islands Classic. She had eight 20+ point games and a season-high 37 points and 16 rebounds against Virginia. Defensively, she totaled 93 steals and 93 blocks, tying the third-most steals in program history.
