Lucknow Super Giants IPL 2024 Schedule details

Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) will be eyeing a memorable IPL 2024 season. Alongside IPL 2022 winners Gujarat Titans (GT), Lucknow Super Giants were the two latest franchises in the IPL.

Lucknow Super Giants IPL 2024 schedule will see them begin their season with an evening fixture against the Rajasthan Royals (RR) at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur. LSG won the last time they played in Jaipur during IPL 2023.

Lucknow's first home game during the IPL 2024 schedule will come up against the Punjab Kings (PBKS) on March 30. LSG’s home stadium name is the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee (BRSABV) Ekana Cricket Stadium.

Lucknow Super Giants will have a lot of travel to do during their IPL 2024 campaign as their third fixture will be against the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on April 2nd. The two teams had a spicy match in IPL 2023 in Bengaluru, where Lucknow sneaked a victory on the last ball of the match.

After a five-day gap, the KL Rahul-led unit will go head-to-head against the Gujarat Titans (GT) at the Ekana Cricket Stadium.

Their remaining home fixtures will take place on April 12 (vs. DC), April 19 (vs. CSK), April 27 (vs. RR), April 30 (vs. MI), and May 05 (vs. KKR).

The away fixtures, on the other hand, will be staged on April 14 (vs. KKR), April 23 (vs. CSK), May 08 (vs. SRH), May 14 (vs. DC), and May 17 (vs. MI).

LSG IPL 2024 Squad Details

Before the schedule for IPL 2024 was announced, LSG dealt a blow as their premier pace bowler Mark Wood opted out of the tournament. LSG have replaced the English bowler by including Shemar Joseph in the mix.

Former Australian player Justin Langer will be the designated head coach for the Lucknow franchise in IPL 2024. LSG's previous two members of the coaching staff in Andy Flower and Gautam Gambhir have left for RCB and KKR, respectively.

Lucknow Super Giants retained 18 player ahead of the IPL 2024 auction and added seven news faced to their IPL 2024 squad. The LSG franchise traded in Devdutt Padikkal for Avesh Khan from Rajasthan Royals (RR) ahead of the auction.

At the auction, LSG splashed ₹6.40cr to acquire the services of Shivam Mavi. They also bought David Willey and Ashton Turner to bolster their all-round department.
