Amanda Nunes had her last fight against Julianna Peña. Nunes defeated Peña via unanimous decision to re-claim the women's bantamweight title that she had previously lost in December. The judges scored the bout 50-45, 50-44, and 50-43 in favor of ‘The Lioness’.


Nunes (22-5), once again became a double-champion with her win over Peña, as she holds both the featherweight and bantamweight UFC titles.

UFC 277 was underway on July 30, 2022, at American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas, United States. The Amanda Nunes vs. Julianna Peña rematch was the main event on the night. The fight lasted all five rounds, with Nunes ultimately defeating Julianna Peña via decision.


In the first round. Peña managed to connect on a few shots, but she spent the majority of the round on the defensive. Nunes outclassed her counterpart in the second frame, landing three knockdowns.


Nunes’ striking and grappling ability proved to be too much for Peña over the final three rounds as she cruised to victory. According to the fight stats, Nunes had 55% of her significant strikes land, whereas Peña only managed 38%.


The judges scored 50-45, 50-44, and 50-43 in favor of Nunes and she was declared the winner via unanimous decision.
