Arman Tsarukyan is an Armenian-Russian combat sports athlete known for his time on the MFP Team, where he competed in the lightweight division. Initially a wrestling buff, Arman Tsarukyan switched to ice hockey and spent much of his youth in the sport. He subsequently took up mixed martial arts as he stepped into adulthood.


Arman Tsarukyan started as an amateur in mixed martial arts; he took the lead in making an opening in professional mixed martial arts. Tsarukyan made his professional debut against Shamil Olokhanov at MPF: Assault Nights of Spassk 2015. Making quick work of Olokhanov, Tsarukyan dispatched him in the first round to start his career with a TKO victory.


Arman Tsarukyan accelerated his way up in his professional career to amass an impressive record of 10 wins and 1 loss. He got a shot at the FEMP lightweight championship against Takenori Sato on December 2, 2017, at the MPF Governor’s Cup 2017. The duo fought through the stipulated three rounds of the fight, which were decided on the judge’s scorecard. Arman Tsarukyan was able to defeat Sato and win the FEMP lightweight championship after being adjudged as the winner by a unanimous decision.


Arman Tsarukyan made his way to the coveted Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) with a winning streak of 12 fights. On his debut showdown in the UFC, he faced Islam Makhachev at UFC Fight Night: Overeem vs. Oleinik on April 20, 2019. Tsarukyan came up short against Makhachev and lost the fight by unanimous decision. Currently, he holds a professional record of 21 wins and 3 losses.
