Considered one of the fastest-rising superstars in the Ultimate Fighting Championship, Arman Tsarukyan climbed up the lightweight rankings like a slingshot to become one of the top five contenders. Kicking off his professional mixed martial arts career in 2015, Tsarukyan currently boasts a record of 22 wins and 3 losses. Even though Tsarukyan is fond of wrestling, that doesn't stop him from finishing most of his opponents via knockouts(9), and via submission(5). Over the years, the 27-year-old fighter has gone up against some of the most decorated names in the history of the sport like Charles Oliveira, Islam Makhachev, Matt Frevola, Beneil Dariush, etc.

Scrutinizing about his UFC stint, Arman Tsarukyan made his octagon debut against Islam Makhachev, who later became the lightweight champion in 2022. Tsarukyan suffered a decision loss against Makhachev for his promotional debut that took place on April 20, 2019, in Russia. However, with time, Tsarukyan has immensely improved his performance inside the cage and is currently ranked as the No.4 contender in the division.

For his last outing, Arman Tsarukyan faced the veteran Charles Oliveira at UFC 300: on April 13, 2024. Tsarukyan won the fight via a split decision. At the post-fight interview, Tsarukyan expressed his intentions to fight Islam Makhachev for the title next.

Arman Tsarukyan's personal life

Arman Tsarukyan is married to Milena. He also has two children, with the first child being born in 2020 and the latter in 2022. As for Tsarukyan, he has roots roots in both Armenia and Georgia, with his family moving to Russia when he was only three years old.

His father, Nairi Tsarukyan, runs his own construction business. Arman is the middle child, with one younger sister and an older brother.
