Evloev was set to lock horns with Bryce Mitchell at UFC Fight Night 214 on November 5, 2022. Unfortunately, he had to pull out in mid-October due to an injury. Later, on May 6, 2023, at UFC 288, Evloev was once again slated to face Bryce Mitchell, stepping in for the injured Jonathan Pearce. However, this time, Mitchell had to withdraw due to an undisclosed injury. Diego Lopes replaced him, and Evloev emerged victorious, securing a unanimous decision and earning the Fight of the Night bonus.
