Ecuadorian professional mixed martial artist Marlon Andrés Vera Delgado, aka Chito Vera, competes in the Ultimate Fighting Championship's bantamweight division. "Chito" is ranked fourth in the bantamweight rankings of UFC as of August 2024.

In February 2012, Vera made his UFC debut. He competed for regional promotions in Latin America, compiling a 6-1-1 record, before joining “The Ultimate Fighter” in 2014. Vera was revealed to be a cast member of “The Ultimate Fighter: Latin America,” representing Team Werdum, in May 2014.

Vera began the competition by defeating Henry Briones in the quarterfinals. Vera was then forced to withdraw from his semifinal bout due to a skin infection, and Guido Cannetti took his place.

Vera made his UFC debut against Marco Beltrán at UFC 180 in November 2014, but he was defeated by a unanimous decision. Vera's next fight was against Roman Salazar at UFC Fight Night 73 on August 8, 2015. He obtained a Performance of the Night bonus in addition to winning the fight via submission in the second round.

On UFC Fight Night 219 on February 18, 2023, Vera was slated to take on Cory Sandhagen. But on March 25, for unknown reasons, the fight was shifted to the UFC on ESPN 43. Vera was defeated by a controversial split decision.

On August 19, 2023, at UFC 292, Vera was slated to compete against Henry Cejudo. However, Pedro Munhoz took Cejudo's place after Cejudo withdrew in late June due to a shoulder injury. Vera emerged victorious in this bout via a unanimous decision. He challenged Sean O'Malley for the bantamweight championship at UFC 299 on March 9, 2024, in a failed pursuit as he lost the fight by a unanimous decision.
