Zhang Weili was born on August 13th, 1989, and currently competes as an elite mixed martial artist from China. She has been a two-time UFC women's strawweight Champion since 2013. Weili first made her MMA professional debut with Kunlun Fight, an Asian MMA promotion, where she held onto their Women's Strawweight Champion crown before debuting with UFC women's strawweight competition two years down the line. As of February 2026, she ranks 2nd on UFC women's pound-for-pound rankings.

Zhang Weili entered the professional MMA scene in 2013, facing a setback in her debut against Meng Bo. However, she rebounded impressively, clinching 11 consecutive victories. Her journey included claiming the Kunlun Fight female strawweight championship by defeating Simone Duarte in May 2017 via second-round TKO. Following this success, Zhang defended her title against Aline Sattelmayer in June 2017, securing a unanimous decision victory. In July of the same year, she pursued another championship, capturing the vacant Top FC Strawweight Championship by TKOing Seo Ye-dam in the second round at TOP FC 15. Continuing her dominance, Zhang defended her KLF title once more in August 2017 against Marilia Santos, triumphing with a second-round TKO. Zhang's KLF record stood at an impressive 16-1, further solidifying her reputation. With her incredible run in KLF, Zhang's winning streak extended to 16 before she transitioned to the UFC, marking a pivotal moment in her career.
