Brydon Alexander Carse is one of the crop of South African-born and bred cricketers who have gone on to represent the English cricket team in internationals. Born on July 31, 1995, in Eastern Cape, South Africa, Carse is primarily regarded as a bowling all-rounder. He is a right-arm fast bowler and a right-handed batter.

Brydon Carse Domestic Career

Brydon Carse made his domestic debut for Eastern Province against KwaZulu-Natal in the CSA Provincial T20 Challenge in Durban on November 2, 2014. On his T20 debut, Carse returned with economical figures of 3-0-11-1 in the first innings and was dismissed for a single run in the second innings.

In the Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) University Matches held in 2016, Carse made his FC debut for Durham against Durham MCCU on April 5, 2016, in Chester-le-Street. He went wicketless in his maiden FC outing. The South African-born made his List-A debut for Durham against Northamptonshire on April 17, 2019, in Chester-le-Street in the Royal London One-Day Cup 2019. He picked up a solitary wicket as Durham won by 72 runs.

Thanks to his ancestral visa, South African-born Brydon Carse made his international debut for England. In a recent proceeding in mid-2024, Carse was banned for three months on the back of accepting to be involved in betting charges and violating the gambling regulations of the English Cricket Board.
