One of the most dominant WTA stars on all surfaces, Aryna Sabalenka has taken the world by storm over the past three years. With her roaring grunt and rampaging ground strokes, Sabalenka was ranked as the World No.1 in singles by the WTA, in 2023. However, she eventually conceded the ranking to Poland's Iga Swiatek towards the end of the 2023 season. Nonetheless, it was a rollicking year for the 25-year-old, who had enthralling encounters with Swiatek and the likes of Elena Rybakina.

Her best performances to date include winning back-to-back Australian Open titles in 2023 and 2024. The defending champion defeated Qinwen Zheng in straight sets to win her second consecutive major title. The Belarusian won the competition without dropping a set in the tournament and became the ninth woman player in the Open Era to win successive titles at the Melbourne Major. With the win, she received a prize money of A$3,150,000. She defeated No. 4 Coco Gauff in the semifinal to reach her second Australian Open final.

For the longest time, the tennis world wondered whether Aryna Sabalenka would turn out to be a talent that didn't reach her full potential. She always had the power; however, it was primarily during the 2021 Wimbledon Championships that she began combining this power with restraint and accuracy. After all, there's a reason why she has been nicknamed 'The Tiger'.

So far, Sabalenka has two Grand Slam doubles titles alongside Elise Mertens, and two singles Major title at the 2024 and 2023 Australian Open. Apart from this, the powerhouse has garnered 14 WTA singles and 6 doubles titles in her career, including five WTA 1000 and four WTA 500 events. She recently lost to Donna Vekic in the final of the 2024 Dubai Tennis Championships.

Sabalenka might just be the definition of "go big or go home" on the women's circuit. Her ruthless approach results in tons of winners, but the lack of adherence to percentage tennis often causes many unforced errors too. Her serve is one of her strongest weapons, and she looks to kill the rally as soon as possible.

In 2023, Sabalenka reached the semifinals of all four major tournaments, whilst reaching the final of the US Open and winning her first Grand Slam at the Australian Open. As of the end of the 2023 season, Sabalenka is being coached by Anton Dubrov.

In 2014, Sabalenka competed for Belarus in the Junior Fed Cup; the team came in sixth. In April 2016, she then competed for Belarus in the senior Fed Cup, but she was defeated by a Russian pair in a dead rubber doubles match. Nevertheless, the Belarusian team, captained by Victoria Azarenka and Aliaksandra Sasnovich, won the match and, for the first time, qualified for the World Group in the following season.

The Belarusian Fed Cup team made an impressive entry into the World Group in 2017, making it to the final despite being without their experienced leader, Azarenka. With Sabalenka and Sasnovich leading the way, Belarus looked to make history. The team's victories were largely made possible by Sabalenka's triumphs in the quarterfinal and semifinal matches. Sabalenka defeated Sloane Stephens in the final matchup against the United States, but Belarus came in second overall.

Belarus faced Slovakia and Germany in 2018 and 2019, narrowly avoiding being demoted from the World Group. With Sabalenka's victories over Germany in the 2019 Fed Cup, Belarus reached the semifinals before being defeated by Australia in a closely fought tie.
