Connor McDavid is a Canadian center and captain of the Edmonton Oilers in the National Hockey League (NHL). He was picked as the first overall pick in the 2015 NHL entry draft. McDavid, who played for the Erie Otters before the Oilers, was named to the NHL All-Rookie Team and was a Calder Memorial Trophy finalist in the 2015-16 season. During the 2016-17 season, he became the youngest player to clinch the Art Ross Trophy for leading the NHL in scoring.

McDavid's career includes five NHL First All-Star Team selections, five Art Ross Trophy victories, four Ted Lindsay Awards, and three Hart Memorial Trophy wins. McDavid also won the Maurice "Rocket" Richard Trophy as the league's leading scorer in the 2022-23 season. He is also one of only two stars, alongside Wayne Gretzky in 1982, to unanimously secure the Hart Memorial Trophy as the league's most valuable player.
