Lucy Olsen is a women's college basketball player who as of March 2025, plays as a point guard for the Iowa Hawkeyes, a team from the Big Ten Conference. She attended Spring-Ford Area School District high school and held the record for career points and assists, as per her college roster. Olsen was named first-team all-state twice in high school and the Miss Pennsylvania Basketball in 2021. She was a multiple sport player in high school. Additionally, she tallied 89 assists, 35 steals and 16 blocks. Moving into the 2022-23 season, she was named second-team All-BIG EAST and earned first-team All-Big 5 accolades and a spot on the USA Basketball 2023 women’s 3×3 U21 team. Olsen started 37 games, averaging 12.4 points and 4.1 rebounds. She led her team with 163 assists and 50 steals, as per her college roster. The following year, she held the honorable Mention All-American honoree by both the WBCA and the Associated Press. Her name was Unanimously named to the first team All-BIG EAST selection, and she was named the BIG EAST Most Improved player. Olsen was ranked third in the country in scoring at 23.3 points per game and concluded her Villanova career ranked ninth all-time in scoring with 1,504 points. She started 35 games and averaged 23.3 points per game and 4.8 rebounds per contest in 36.2 minutes per game. As of March 2025, Olsen averaged 18.0 points, 4.9 assists, and 3.6 rebounds in 30 games for the Hawkeyes (via ESPN).
