Carnell Tate is an American football wide receiver for the Ohio State Buckeyes who was born in 2004. Tate is the son of Sean Tate and Ashley Griggs. He was born and raised in Chicago, where he attended Marist High School in the Mount Greenwood area, where he played high school football in 2019 and 2020.
Tate switched to Bradenton, Florida's IMG Academy, as a junior in 2021. In his eight games as a senior in 2022, he accumulated 750 receiving yards.
