Garcia excited by Woods comeback
Tiger Woods will make his latest comeback at the Hero World Challenge this week and Sergio Garcia is looking forward to seeing how he fares.
Sergio Garcia will be among the army of intrigued onlookers when Tiger Woods marks his return to competitive golf at the Hero World Challenge.
The 14-time major winner's latest comeback sees him headline a small field in the Bahamas this week and Masters champion Garcia is excited to see how he fares.
Woods has undergone numerous surgeries on his troublesome back but spoke on Tuesday with confidence over his fitness, with the Spaniard hopeful this is not another false dawn for the 41-year-old.
"I think it's exciting not only from my perspective but from a golf perspective," said Garcia, who will be taking part in the Australian PGA Championship while Woods is in action. "I think it's going to be interesting how he does, not only physically but mentally.
"When you've played so little in the last three to four years it's not easy to come back, but I guess the course they are playing on is the perfect course for him to come back.
"It's not a course that puts a lot of pressure on you, but it's going to be interesting to see how he does physically and mentally.
"Hopefully he's able to keep going because he's come back a couple of times and he's out again so hopefully that doesn't happen."
Woods will tee off alongside US PGA Championship winner Justin Thomas at the Hero World Challenge, which is a limited-field PGA Tour event in the Bahamas.
