WATCH: Golfer left with short birdie putt after hitting spectator
Mads Sogaard found an innovative way to set up a fine birdie opportunity in round two of the Made in Denmark tournament on Friday.
As a player competing on home soil in the European Tour's Made in Denmark event, Mads Sogaard probably expected to receive a good deal of support this week.
However, the 24-year-old Dane could not have anticipated the assistance he received on the 16th hole in Friday's second round.
A wayward tee shot at the short par three prompted cries of 'fore' as the ball headed towards spectators behind the green.
Sogaard need not have worried, though, as his ball bounced off a fan - or possibly the chair they were sitting on - before rolling down to within a few feet of the hole.

A smiling Sogaard raised his hand to acknowledge his good fortune, but duly missed the excellent birdie opportunity that had been handed to him.
