Undoubtedly one of the most prominent superstars in the heavyweight division of boxing, Anthony Joshua is a former two-time unified champion. The 34-year-old British boxer has more than a decade of expertise in professional boxing and maintains a record of 28 wins and 3 losses. Anthony Joshua has had three losses in his professional boxing career. The first loss came from Andy Ruiz Jr. and the latter two happened consecutively against the reigning unified champion, Oleksandr Usyk.

Anthony Joshua vs. Andy Ruiz Jr. took place on June 1, 2019, at Madison Square Garden in New York, United States where Joshua was making his unified championship defense against the American-Mexican boxer.

The fight was one of the most intense and entertaining of all time. The third round of the bout consisted of Joshua knocking down Andy Ruiz Jr. and later Joshua got knocked down immediately once Ruiz Jr. got up.

After seven rounds of intense fist exchanges and knockdowns, Andy Ruiz Jr. won the bout via TKO.

However, Anthony Joshua got an immediate rematch and won back the title from Any Ruiz Jr. via a unanimous decision on December 7, 2019.

Anthony Joshua vs. Oleksandr Usyk 1

Anthony Joshua faced Oleksandr Usyk for the first time on September 25, 2021, at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London, England in defense of his WBA(Super), IBF, WBO, and IBO heavyweight titles against the Ukrainian boxer.

However, Usyk won the twelve-rounder via a unanimous decision and became the new unified champion of the heavyweight division.

Anthony Joshua had a rematch against Oleksandr Usyk on August 20, 2022, at the King Abdullah Sports City in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia for the WBA(Super), IBF, WBO, IBO, and vacant The Ring heavyweight titles.

After twelve rounds of intense fist exchanges, Oleksandr Usyk won the bout via a split decision.
