Tom Aspinall is one of the leading active heavyweight mixed martial artists fighting in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). Having made his debut in the promotion on July 26, 2022, Tom Aspinall has been on a brilliant run of a series of consecutive finishes and a loss due to an injury.

Aspinall secured victories against five of his rivals in the UFC, which included top heavyweight fighters in the organization like Jake Collier, Alan Baudot, Andrei Arlovski, Serghei Spivac, Alexander Volkov, and Marcin Tybura. All of his victories came through first-round finishes, except for his fight against Andrei Arlovski on March 19, 2022. Aspinall submitted him in the second round of the fight.

Tom Aspinall faced his only defeat in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) and his third professional mixed martial defeat in UFC Fight Night: Blaydes vs. Aspinall on July 23, 2022, while headlining the event in the main event along with Curtis Blaydes. He tore his medial collateral ligament in the opening moments of their bout, which led to Curtis Blaydes being declared the winner via first-round TKO (knee injury). Tom Aspinall returned a year later to the octagon with Marcin Tybura at UFC Fight Night: Aspinall vs. Tybura on July 22, 2023. He made quick work of Tybura by finishing him off in the first round via TKO.

Tom Aspinall is featured in an ultimate showdown against Sergei Pavlovich for the interim heavyweight title at UFC 295 on November 11, 2023. The UFC heavyweight champion, Jon Jones, was actually scheduled to headline the high-profile event against Stipe Miocic for the heavyweight title. After injuring himself in a sparring session, Jones was ruled out of UFC 295, and Tom Aspinall and Sergei Pavlovich were then then added to the co-main event, while Jiri Prochazka vs. Alex Pereira fought in the main event of the night.
