Zak Zinter demonstrated his prowess and skills as a football guard while representing the Michigan Wolverines at the collegiate level during his tenure at the University of Michigan. Throughout his time there, his outstanding performance earned him unanimous All-American honors and the 2023 CFP National Champion title. After a successful collegiate career, he announced his entry into the 2024 NFL Draft via Instagram in January 2024.

Zinter built a solid foundation for a promising career during his early years. He began his football journey at St. John’s Prep, where he spent his first two years of high school, before transferring to Buckingham Browne & Nichols School. After he finished high school, he committed to playing college football at the University of Michigan.

He entered college football as a true freshman in 2020 and appeared in 45 games throughout his time there, starting 42 of them on the offensive line. During his tenure at Michigan, he started all of his games at right guard, except for one game. His outstanding performance earned him a spot on the Second-team All-Big Ten in 2021. Additionally, he was named to the First-team All-Big Ten in both 2022 and 2023.
