Clayton Keller plays for the Utah Hockey Club, as of March 2025. He was selected seventh overall by the Coyotes (now Utah Hockey Club) in the 2016 NHL Entry Draft. He attended Shattuck-Saint Mary's and later joined the USA Hockey Team Development Program in 2014 where he recorded 189 points in two seasons.

Despite being selected in the 2014 OHL Draft by the Windsor Spitfires, he decided to attend Boston University to play for the Boston Terriers in 2016. During his tenure with the Terriers, he was the recipient of the Tim Taylor Award and Hockey East Rookie of the Year Award. Keller has received four NHL All-Star nominations and is the only Coyotes player in history to make four All-Star Game appearances.
