Hsieh Su-wei is a professional tennis player from Taiwan, born on January 4, 1986 in Hsinchu, Taiwan. She specializes in doubles and is considered one of the greatest doubles players of all time. She achieved her career-high doubles ranking of No. 1 in May 2014, and her career-high singles ranking of No. 23 in February 2013. She is the highest-ranked Taiwanese player in history in both doubles and singles.

Hsieh Su-wei has won 35 WTA doubles titles, including seven Grand Slams. She won her first Grand Slam doubles title at the 2013 Wimbledon with Peng Shuai. After that she won, Wimbledon in 2019, 2021, and 2023, French Open in 2014 and 2023, and Australian Open in 2024. She has also won two Grand Slam titles in mixed doubles, including the 2024 Australian Open and the 2024 Wimbledon Championships with Jan Zieliński.

Her best performance in Grand Slam singles came at the 2021 Australian Open, where she reached the quarterfinals. She has won three titles in singles. She also won 27 singles and 23 doubles titles on the ITF Circuit. Hsieh Su-wei also won seven models in the Asian Games, including two gold, three silver, and two bronze. She advanced to her second Australian Open final in 2025 with Jelena Osatpenko, where they lost to the pair of Taylor Townsend and Katerina Siniakova in the final by 6-2, 6-7, 6-3 .

Hsieh Su-Wei is a Taiwanese national. She was born on January 4, 1986, in Hsinchu, Taiwan to Hsieh Tze-lung (father) and Ho Fom-ju (mother). She has six siblings. Her younger sister Hsieh Shu-ying and brother Hsieh Cheng-peng are also tennis players.

Hsieh Su-Wei began playing tennis at five as her father introduced her to the game. Her tennis idols are Steffi Graf and Andre Agassi.

Hsieh Su-Wei turned professional in 2001 and made her WTA tour debut in 2001. She made her grand slam main draw at the 2005 US Open, where she lost against Katarina Srebotnik in the first round.

Hsieh Su-Wei represented Tiewan at the 2012 Londen Olympics in both singles and doubles. She lost in the first round in singles and made the quarterfinal in doubles with Chuang Chia-jung.

She also represented Tiewan at the 2024 Paris Olympics in doubles with Tsao Chia-yi, where they reached the quarterfinal.
