Boone Jenner, born on June 15, 1993, is a Canadian professional ice hockey player who currently serves as the captain of the Columbus Blue Jackets in the National Hockey League (NHL). During his youth, Jenner spent four seasons playing major junior hockey with Oshawa Generals of the Ontario Hockey League. Over this period, he accumulated an impressive record of 111 goals and 135 assists, totaling 246 points, while also amassing 265 penalty minutes across 227 games played. Jenner’s standout performance in junior hockey led to his selection by the Columbus Blue Jackets in the second round, 37th overall, of the 2011 NHL Entry Draft.

Born in Dorchester, Ontario, on June 15, 1993, Jenner is the youngest of three boys born to parents Matt and Terri Jenner. His first name was inspired by a radio broadcast his father heard, while his middle name, Robbie, honors his paternal grandfather. His introduction to organized hockey began with the Dorchester Tyke Firefighters, a local team where he first showcased his talent on the ice.

In recent seasons, Jenner has continued with his point production while also achieving honors such as getting named to the NHL All-Star Game in 2024 as part of Team McDavid. Moreover, internationally he has represented Canada on the international level ( both junior and senior levels). Notably, he earned a silver medal at the World U17 Hockey Challenge before claiming gold with Canada at the Hlinka Gretzky Cup in 2010 and at the World Championships in 2016.
