Connor Charles Hellebuyck is an American ice hockey goaltender who is playing for the Winnipeg Jets of the National Hockey League (NHL). He was born on May 19, 1993, in Commerce Township, Michigan. Hellebuyck started his hockey journey in the North American Hockey League with the Odessa Jackalopes. For further development in the sport, he went to UMass Lowell River Hawks in the NCAA where he earned several awards including the Hockey East Championship and Mike Richter Award.


After his selection in the NHL, Connor decided to forgo his last two college seasons, signing an entry-level contract with them on April 5, 2014. He made his professional debut during the 2015-2026 season. He was sent to the St. John's IceCaps, the AHL affiliate of the Jets. However, he was recalled by the Jets in the 2016-2017 season where he continued to excel. During the 2017-2018 season, he became the first American goaltender to set the record for most single-season wins after Tom Barrasso.


In 2021, Hellebuyck won his 153rd NHL game as the Jets, breaking the franchise record for wins by a goaltender. In 2022, he played his 380th NHL game and celebrated his 200th career victory.
