A popular left-winger for the Minnesota Wild, Kirill Kaprizov, began his professional hockey career in 2014 with Metallurg Novokuznetsk of the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL). He was just 16 years old at the time, but he quickly made a name for himself as a skilled goal scorer. In his rookie season, he scored 4 goals and 8 points in 31 games. Kirill Kaprizov continued to improve in his second season with Metallurg Novokuznetsk, scoring 11 goals and 27 points in 53 games. Kaprizov continued to produce at a high level in the following seasons, scoring at least 30 goals in each of the next two years.

In 2020, Kirill Kaprizov signed with the Minnesota Wild of the National Hockey League (NHL). He made his NHL debut on January 14, 2021, and scored his first NHL hat trick on March 12, 2021. Kaprizov had an impressive rookie season with the Minnesota Wild, scoring 27 goals and 51 points in 55 games. He was named to the NHL All-Rookie Team and finished second in voting for the Calder Trophy as the NHL's Rookie of the Year. In 2021-22, Kirill had an even better season, scoring 47 goals and 108 points in 81 games. He finished fourth in the NHL in scoring and was named to his second NHL All-Star Team.
