Aaliyah Edwards is a Canadian basketball player, playing as a forward for the Washington Mystics in the WNBA. After being drafted sixth overall in the 2024 WNBA Draft, Edwards established herself as one of the key players for the Mystics.

Prior to the NBA, Aaliyah Edwards played four seasons with the UConn Huskies. As a junior, she averaged a double-double with 18.3 points and 11 rebounds per game, improving significantly from her sophomore season (7.9 points and 5.1 rebounds). She also made history as the first UConn player since Maya Moore in 2010 to record 20 points and 20 rebounds in a game. As a senior, Edwards earned first-team All-Big East and second-team All-America honors. Moreover, her accolades include USBWA and WBCA All-American honors, Big East Most Improved Player of the Year (2023), and Big East Sixth Woman of the Year (2021). She also earned Big East tournament MOP in 2023. During her senior year at UConn, Edwards played in 37 games during the 2022/23 NCAA season, where she averaged 17.6 points, 9.2 rebounds, 2.1 assists, 1.7 steals, and 1.0 blocks per game while shooting 59.3% from the field. In addition to her WNBA and collegiate success, Edwards has represented Team Canada, earning two silver medals and one bronze on the international stage. She also plays in the Unrivaled 3x3 league, founded by Napheesa Collier and Breanna Stewart.
